As Australia’s peak body for non-government disability service providers, National Disability Services (NDS) plays a pivotal advocacy role for people with a disability, its members, and the disability sector more broadly.
After initially booking Good Talent Media (GTM) to assist with media training for its senior leaders, GTM was soon engaged to assist with raising the profile of NDS, familiarising the public and journalists with its vital work, its members incredible services, and to help lead and drive debates on critical questions in the sector.
GTM has provided NDS and its members with broad national coverage in first tier publications including The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, Brisbane Times, The Advertiser, The Herald Sun, A Current Affair, ABC TV News and Radio, SBS, 7 news, and a raft of local publications.
The publicity has focused on a range of issues including employment targets, open employment, supported independent living, COVID related issues, choice and control, group services, pricing, and the state of the sector. GTMs engagement with NDS includes PR, media training, and campaign work.
